Welcome to the REGENERART e-learning
The REGENERART e-learning is a self-paced course for teachers and educators who are interested in engaging secondary school students (14 to 19 years old) in re-thinking gender roles and stereotypes as a way to prevent and combat gender-based violence, especially against women and girls (GBVAW). The course will take 10 to 15 hours to complete, using different types of learning materials (videos, illustrations, exercises…).
It provides also additional resources, including a Quick Guide, to support teachers and educators in translating what they have learned into practical educational activities with girls and boys to develop their critical thinking when it comes to analyse relationships between men and women, gender roles and social and cultural expectations towards a more equal and inclusive society, free of violence and discriminations.
The course allows users to keep track of their progress in the “My training journey” dedicated section in the user’s profile and to get a certificate upon the completion of the modules.
At the end of the REGENERART e-learning course, learners will be able to:
- Understand what we mean by gender issues (including GBVAW), how gender roles are constructed and gender stereotypes reproduced
- Use art as an entry point to speak about gender inequality, gender stereotypes, GBVAW
- Explain the role art has played throughout the centuries in replicating unequal gender relations and justified GBVAW
- Raise the awareness of young girls and boys on gender equality and prevention of GBVAW
