In Finland, year 2022 will celebrate the 150^th anniversary of the birth of the most important Finnish woman architect, Wivi Lönn, together with the 80^th anniversary of the birth of Architecta, the Finnish Association of Women Architects created by Lönn herself together with 46 other women architects. The Museum of Finnish Architecture has planned an extensive program that will examine the work of women architects in Finland and equality issues related to their work. A special reflection on the relationship between architecture and gender at a multidisciplinary level will take place in a weekend long festival organized by the Museum of Finnish Architecture on the occasion of Wivi Lohn's birthday. On that occasion, from 20 to 22 May 2022, the participants will discuss the work of Lohn and her followers by focusing on the female perspective in architectural production and on its meaning and value at different levels. The event will also allow to deepen the role played by Architecta in Finland and in Europe from its creation until today.
